Who We Are REINHARD TEETOR Reinhard Teetor co-founded Berkshire Show Stock with his wife, Leslie, in 1997. Before presiding over Berkshire Show Stock, Reinhard managed Folly Farm in Simsbury, Connecticut and North American Show Horse Syndications, Inc. in Litchfield, Connecticut. Reinhard’s knowledge of training, showing and horsemanship is a result of many years experience. He has trained with and/or worked for some of the most prominent and highly regarded horsemen including: Mr. Arthur McCashin, Captain of the US Equestrian Team at the Helsinki Olympic Games, team Bronze medalist in show jumping; Mr. Bert DeNemethy, Coach and trainer for the United States Show Jumping Team; Dr. Reiner Klimke, multiple Olympic medalist, multiple European Champion, two time World Champion, World-renowned author, clinician, and trainer; Mr. Michael Page, Olympic medalist, top national trainer, clinician and judge, Former chef de equipe for the US and Canadian Equestrian Teams; Mr. George Morris, Olympic medalist, leading international trainer and chef de equipe for the US Equestrian Team. Reinhard has trained, ridden or instructed clients to be champion, reserve champion, or class winners at top shows in the United States and Europe. These shows include: The Hampton Classic, Lake Placid, West Palm Beach, HITS Ocala, HITS Catskills, HITS Saugerties, Old Salem Farm, Children’s Services, Devon, Harrisburg, Washington, Chicago International, Capitol Challenge, Cleveland, Saratoga, International Jumping Derby Newport, Amsterdam & Rotterdam, Holland, Weisbaden & Bremen, Germany. Among the many horses that Reinhard has trained or sold, some that he has produced are Awesome, Airwolf, Mr. Lucky, Bounce Back, Prime Time, Curtain Call, Amadeus, Red Hawk, Market Square, Roma I, Kracatoa, Fellow, Pascal, Doodlin Deck, Inspiration, Santini, Colorado, Don’t Push, Bismark, End Game, Bon Retouer, Leonard III, Genoa, Gerlande and Papillion. LESLIE TEETOR Leslie Teetor grew up in Wilton, Connecticut. Her junior riding career took her from the Wilton Pony Club to the Medal and Maclay equitation finals at Harrisburg and Madison Square Garden. After graduating from the University of North Carolina, Leslie moved to Atlanta, Georgia. During that time she managed the largest tack shop in the Southeast and worked jointly on product development with Miller’s Harness Company. She competed successfully on the Amateur Owner hunters and jumpers on horses she bought and developed herself. She subsequently became a professional horseman. Since moving back to the Northeast, Leslie has been based at Carousel Farm in Pine Plains, New York where she and her husband, Reinhard, own and operate Berkshire Show Stock. She has trained and won with her horses at major show from Vermont to Florida in both hunters and jumpers. Leslie’s students have finished in the top ten in State, Regional, and Zone year end awards; been Circuit Champion or Reserve at HITS in Florida and New York; won in both the Marshall and Sterling hunter and jumper series; won the Fairfield/Westchester PHA Medal and Maclay finals; and competed successfully in USET, Medal and Maclay finals. |
